Evaluations, Training & Research at the convergence of mental health and the legal system
Evaluation Details
Evaluations are designed to respond specifically to the referral question. Objective psychological testing, review of legal case materials, and comprehensive clinical interview result in a diligent process for the evaluation.
Evaluations
We offer several types of forensic evaluations. These evaluations are most often used to help determine an individual’s mental health/state and help the courts make decisions about individual's rights, sentencing, and treatment needs. Each evaluation is based on the legal case and ensures the courts have the information they need to answer their questions.

This type of evaluation is for individuals facing sexual offense charges or those who have been convicted of sexual offenses. Court systems use this information to help determine sentencing, whether or not to grant privileges, and how to move forward with community reintegration. Although these evaluations are most often used in adult cases, they can be modified to evaluate children and adolescents.

This type of evaluation is for adolescents (age 13-17) who are involved in the juvenile court system and are in need of psychological evaluation. These are comprehensive and can assist in determining criminogenic risk, state of mental health and amenability to treatment. Consultation can also be provided to the courts on juvenile cases.
